Humans
Humans, the most common of the races in the world of Haraveth who can be found in almost any corner of the world.
Description
Humans stand averagely, commonly around six foot for males and five foot seven inches for women. It should be noted that there are rarely outliers who stand taller than this, but not uncommon to fall below this standard. Humanity in appearance is a varied race, with hair colors that range from halo blonde to inky black. Eyes are similarly varied, but are most commonly earthen tones, blues, greens, and hazel.
Humans reach sexual maturity around 14 years, though activity at this age is highly frowned upon, and reach adulthood around twenty-three years where their growth tends to end. Humans reach their natural end around 85 years old.
Abilities
Trait wise, humanity boasts unmatched tenacity, historically creating great inventions during times of peril. Humans are not inherently more intelligent than other races, but they are known for their ability to adapt virtually anywhere they can settle, provided the living conditions are habitable.
Their physical strength and magical abilities are somewhat limited, with most humans lacking the potential for magic. Today, roughly 15% of humanity has any magical potential, and those that do may have up to 3 aspects.

Culture
One of the most widespread and populous races of Saphriel, the humans have a long and storied history. Before the war, they centered around a series of city states, the greatest and oldest of which was Falkvard. As a result, and as a consequence of the toll which the Pact War took on them, humans and their beliefs are diverse and varied. From the eastern tribes of the deserts to the hodgepodge of refugees that formed Barkamsted and today make up the Kingdom of Saphriel, humans often differ as much from each other as they do from other races in their convictions and beliefs.

History
The Humans, being the most common and abundant of the races, have settled in many places, particularly favoring the plains of the realm. They built large cities and many farming villages, where they would work the land raising cattle and crops. While the Elves took the forests and the Dwarves took to the mountains, the humans spread themselves across the lands, inhabiting almost all environments. Being the closest to the eastern and northern mountains, they were the first to cross blades with the Pact.
The humans have built many cities over the centuries, but the most prominent one to this day is the capital city of Falkvard, seat of the Falkvard line of human kings. Sadly, this city was largely destroyed in the Pact War; what remains, even after efforts to rebuild, is a mere shadow of what was once a mighty, bustling city. Their second major city, Barkamsted, was founded by Lord Barkam, who fled the capital in the beginnings of the war, with his city gradually growing as refugees of war fled to it. Thankfully, in recent years the city of Falkvard has undergone repairs and is inhabited once more thanks to the descendants of Lord Barkam, as well as the great efforts of Barkamsted’s people. Today, Falkvard is nowhere near the size or splendor it once held, but perhaps someday, when enough people return, the city will once again be a great place of commerce and trade.
Beliefs
The Humans worship a wide variety of gods based on their locations and heritage. The most commonly-worshipped are Aderoth, God of purity, healing, and Heaven, and Udero, God of balance and order. It is common for humans to build churches in dedication to Aderoth, and rarely altars to Udero will be constructed, one of the most significant being a one of pristine white, built thousands of years ago just outside of Falkvard. While Aderoth and Udero are the most commonly-worshiped of the Gods, humans will often worship whichever Gods suit their lives and needs; Behmos, of course, is an exception, for worship of the God of darkness and sin is illegal.
