Snow People Competition
To the citizens of Falkvard, we call many and all to gather around the Corinaith Square next week on ((Sunday 1pm EST)) to help maintain the streets and repurpose the snow into creative constructions! The unofficial competition will be ongoing for the duration of the entire month over the last of the winter season, though this first day of its start will set the precedent for what to expect of the snow men, snow women, and snow child (or snow beast) to be made. Come meet up, form some teams, and contribute together with friends both familiar and new!
Rules:
– No obscenity or crude displays should be made to cause insult or injury to any non-consenting parties.
– Do not build snow in a manner that disrupts businesses, residences, or travel routes to block the streets.
– People may cooperate together to build as many snow people as they’d so desire.
– Please do not vandalize any other participants’ creations.
– The competition will end on the last week of Nenime before the snow shall melt. Grimshaw Grey and Gregory Topaz will act as the judges for the entries.
When you complete a snow person, please write in your name and a description of your creation to the posters on this board! A rough sketch of the entry will also be ideal to better identify them. If you work as a group, be sure to write in all participants within your team for each entry. The winner will be rewarded with a rather simple painting to immortalize their snow person.
((OOC mechanics: Emote your character rolling and gathering up snow, using ice magic, or any other methods they have available around the Falkvard Square! If you require blocks, player heads, or descriptive signs for the builds, feel free to /helpop and request these. Post a screenshot of your snowman on this thread to be judged! The first day of the competition will be at May 18th 1pm EST and end on May 24th.
Lady Ardor and the O’Connell children:
Fort Snow Sword!
[!] All the posters have a new addition to them.
The results are in! The winner of the competition is Fort Snow Sword by the O’Connell family, with a close second place winner of the Wolficorn by Mio and Boro Zakiti! Both winners will received a painted portrait to hang up in their homes to immortalize their creation forever.
Each participant will receive snowflake candy courtesy of Grimshaw Grey! Please expect these to be sent via courier in the near.
The entries were graded by a criteria of the craftsmanship of their construction showcasing their skill and readability of their creation; the originality compared to other entries within the competition or uniqueness as a snow construction; as well as the effort required to gather up snow from the streets and work as a team.
